Alice in Wonderland
This project explores typography as an expressive system through experimentation with rhythm, hierarchy, and spatial disruption. Inspired by the unpredictability of Alice in Wonderland, I translated narrative moments into typographic compositions that gradually shift from structural order to visual instability. Beginning with controlled grid structures and clear hierarchy, the layouts progressively fragment alignment, scale, and density to mirror Alice’s psychological descent. The movement from clarity to distortion is intentional, using letterforms to construct tension rather than simply illustrate the story.
The project examines how typography alone can carry narrative weight. By manipulating structure, pacing, and spatial relationships, type becomes both content and atmosphere, transforming reading into a visual experience.
